As more fully addressed below, John P. Whiteman III is preparing for the annual Thanksgiving party that will take place on the 26th of November. In the true spirit of giving thanks and giving back, net proceeds from the event will benefit Family Residences and Essential Enterprises (FREE), an organization that supports individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Non-perishable food items will be collected and donated to LI Cares.
Fall is a great season of giving back whether it is through sponsorship of LI Cares, or through the Massapequa Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. Spots are still available and are filling up fast.

Three Ways to Resolve Divorce

Leukemia and Lymphoma Light the Night Walk
Our firm, along with the Nassau County Bar Association, helped support Light the Night, an annual walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, where James has been a board member for many years. This year we had approximately 5000 participants and raised well over $1.3 million. FIOS1, in their coverage of the event, interviewed James.
Luekemia and Lymphoma Society holds Light the Night walk on Long Island - James Joseph isn't just an organizer, he is also a survivor who was diagnosed twenty years ago. "I've been very fortunate. I often say I am here today because of money that people here in this crowd raised that went to research that funded the fight against blood cancer," James Joseph said.

Accountants and Lawyers Annual Thanksgiving Party
John P. Whiteman III from our office is the Attorney Co-Chair for the annual Thanksgiving party led by an Attorneys and Accountants Joint Committee in cooperation with the New York State Society of CPAs and the Nassau County Bar Association. The event will take place at The Fox Hollow on Tuesday, November 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Net proceeds from the event will benefit Family Residences and Essential Enterprises (FREE), an organization that supports individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Non-perishable food items will be collected and donated to LI Cares. Attendance at the event is limited to attorneys and accountants, but others are welcomed to support the event by way of sponsorship. Massapequa Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot
As we announced in last month’s newsletter, our firm, along with our friends and colleagues at Foley Griffin LLP, are proud to organize and sponsor the Massapequa Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot charity event. All proceeds from the event are donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Race Day is just about one month away, Thursday, November, 28, 2019. There is still time to register.
