Nicole E. Imperatore, Associate
A top 6% cum laude graduate of Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, Nicole received her Juris Doctor in May 2023 with a concentration in Family Law. Not only did Nicole excel in her studies, but as a student she actively participated in clinics and externships which gave her the opportunity to have client interaction and assist in legal matters.
Amongst other achievements, Nicole reached the Gold Level for Public Service hours during her time at Hofstra Law. She was also the recipient of the Award for Excellence in Family Law Courses at the 2023 Hofstra Law Graduate Awards. During her time at Maurice A. Deane School of Law, Nicole served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Joseph H. Lorintz in the Nassau County Supreme Court Matrimonial Center and as a Research Editor of the prestigious Hofstra Law Review. Her student note, “Parents Under Pressure: Why CPS Needs to Tell Parents Their Rights Before Walking in the Door”, was published in Volume 51, Issue 2 of the Hofstra Law Review. She also participated in the Hofstra Law Advocacy Clinic, in which she represented juveniles in both family and immigration court proceedings, advocating for them to obtain lawful immigration status. Before law school, Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Adelphi University Honors College, magna cum laude.
Nicole was admitted to practice law in New York State in November 2023 and admitted to practice in New York’s Federal District Courts in August 2024. Throughout law school and upon admission, Nicole worked at a full-service law firm in Garden City in their litigation department, where she focused primarily on Family and Matrimonial Law. She joined Joseph Law Group in August of 2024.
Nicole is from New Hyde Park, New York. For fun, she enjoys walking her dogs, going to brunch with friends and cycling.
